A supernatural omnishambles

An interesting & entertaining evening, headed up by Toastmaster Jonathan who kicked us off with a reflective & motivating reading from Marianne Williamson. Tim the Grammarian introduced the word of the day ‘omnishambles’, which only officially became a word last month. Randall took the floor next with some incredible tales of the supernatural in his speech “Ghosts, believe it or not”. Painting great word-pictures and with fantastic use of body language, Randall has us all on the edge of our seats.

Ade managed a brilliant object-lucky-dip tabletopics session tonight. We heard all about collectible cookie cutters from Gary, potato-nail-brushes from Ellie and the many uses of insulation tape in somewhat unconventional situations from Scott. Dave Y. gave a rather knowing description of head-lice management in children featuring a ‘nit-comb’ (Or was that a dog-comb?) and finally Jan had us laughing silly with all her uses for a screw-driver multi-tool / ninja-star.

Next week will be our demonstration evening – a great opportunity to bring a friend or workmate along. See you all then.
